The sweetest little birds to fly into the shop in quite a bit of time, these two came all the way from Japan in the 1940s. 

Made just after the war ended, there is no doubt that their sunny yellow, green, and pink color palette brought cheer to the day and joy to the spirit as the country began to recover and rebuild just after World War II. 

Small enough to use as a catchall or mini organizer but large enough to grow a few succulents or a mini pot of kitchen herbs, these two sweethearts will easily fit on a window ledge, kitchen shelf, mantel, countertop, bookshelf or cupboard ledge without taking up much space.

Unmarked as to maker, this style of planter came in a variety of shades, including rainbow, tawny brown, and muted earth tones. This one features the now hard-to-find pastel palette with colors that include butter, lime, citron, lemon, raspberry, pale pink, ivory, and black. 

Unique among the flock and unique among your decor, we love them best for the kitchen, but given their ability to be a holder, organizer, or planter, these two love birds will look great anywhere in the house that could use a little extra romance.

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition, this planter contains no chips or cracks with the exception of one tiny, tiny, tiny chip on the inside rim of the vase. The chip is less than 1/8th of an inch and can only be seen when looking down over the planter, and not from the front. There is some very light staining on the inside of the planter, but nothing that bleeds through to the exterior. Please see photos.
