Traveling all the way from midcentury cosmopolitan Hong Kong, these two vintage metal trays feature the prettiest summertime floral bouquet.

Embracing shades of pastel pink, salmon, lavender, teal, mustard, pale blue, and dove grey, the flowers emote a delicate watercolor-esque aesthetic making them look like little works of art just as much as serviceable trays.

Manufactured in Hong Kong between the 1950s and 1970s, these trays offered a hint of the exotic beauty of the Far East. Lovely examples of travel souvenirs as well as decorative imports for the internationally-minded home decorator, metal trays like these two came in all shapes, sizes, and patterns.  Offering an array of interesting designs, they served as statement pieces for the jet-setter who was keen on exploring the world not only via plane, train, and boat but via home decor too. 

Petite in size, they offer all sorts of fun possibilities for purpose and display these days.  Incorporate them into your space as catchalls, coasters, mini serving trays, cocktail cart organizers, wall art, table mats, outdoor serving trays... the list goes on and on. They are also lovely decorative details for tablescapes celebrating bridal parties, baby showers, weddings, and garden parties.

{CONDITION}

In beautiful vintage condition, these trays are very clean and bright, shiny and reflective, on both the front and back. They contain no scratches or dents. A few tiny chippy spots around the rim on each tray give them a bit of a shabby chic aesthetic.  The floral designs are crisp, clear, and vibrant in color palette. Please see photos.
