Vintage White Linen Dinner Napkins with Scalloped Edges and Floral Cutwork Embroidery - Set of 8
Simplicity is the greatest adornment of art. Albrecht Durrer
{HISTORY}
These are the kind of napkins that float effortlessly through every year, every season, every holiday, every meal. Simple, stylish and beautifully made, this set of eight vintage dinner napkins adds a splash of understated elegance to the table that is always appreciated whether you are enjoying a quiet breakfast for one or throwing a merry dinner party for eight.
Featuring decorative floral cutwork, embroidered embellishments, and a very uniform scalloped edge, these do not come with hang tags identifying their manufacturer. But most likely they were made by Madeira - a cloth manufacturer based in Portugal whose was known for their high-quality linens - sometime around the mid-20th century.
Made of silky, smooth linen they have a lovely drape and are soft to the touch, while also feeling substantial in hand. Their large size offers numerous options as far as folding goes, so you can get creative with your table displays and keep this batch looking fresh and new each time.
