{HISTORY}

Shaped like a round butterball, this pretty little water jug holds up to 10 cups and features a very dynamic shape with its pinched spout and angled handle. A mixed bouquet of roses and wax flowers on both sides of the jug as well as the top portion of the handle, it practically bubbles over with cottage charm and functional use.

Hard to find these days, it is a bit of a mystery as to who made this kitchen helper and when.  Marked on the bottom with just a USA 7 imprint, this jug may have been made by Hall Pottery in the 1940s or 1950s. as it is somewhat similar to other midcentury jugs in their repertoire. We do hate to assume though. So until we are actually know for certain, this aspect remains a mystery.

That ambiguity doesn't sop us from loving it its sweet heirloom aesthetic here in the Vintage Kitchen.  Quite possibly it is the first thing that greeted hungry eaters when they opened the refrigerator door back in its heyday,

Heavy and thick-walled like vintage oven-to-table ware of the 1930s, 40s and 50s, this jug is also ergonomically balanced and very comfortable to hold when in use. A delight from all angles, it is destined to look gorgeous anywhere you set it in the kitchen.

One of the pink roses has a small tear in the transferware that is just barely noticeable. Please see photos.
