Vintage Solid Copper Duck Mold Made in Korea circa 1980s
Flying in from history...
Whose come for a visit all the way from 1980s Korea? Why it's this shiny guy right here... this little delight of a duck.
Made of solid copper, this emblem-style copper mold began its culinary career ready for all sorts of kitchen creativities. Whether it was decorating a wall or form-fitting a special dessert, this duck added a bit of whimsy to the day whenever and wherever he touched down.
Making his way across countries and continents, this feathered friend spent most of his life in Texas in the big country kitchen of an artist where he was part of a beloved copper collection for many, many decades. Artistic in his stance, with a ladyfinger-like edge he was a whimsical companion in that Southern kitchen serving both functional and decorative purposes. Now he's a temporary New Englander ready to embark on a new adventure in a new kitchen, where he'll be sure to dazzle your eye and brighten up your cook space just like he's done for the past four decades.
