Vintage Silvertone Squirrel Coin Bank Made in Japan circa 1970s
Saving your coins was never cuter than with this little vintage silvertone squirrel. Whether you're collecting castaway coins for a weekday coffee treat, saving up for an expensive specialty ingredient or corraling quarters for the local laundromat so that you can wash all your go-to kitchen linens, this little gal promises to make the gathering process fun and exciting. She carries her own little golden nut between her paws with such care and pride, she knows exactly the feelings you have too when it comes to saving up your duckets for a special event.
Cast in metal with a silvertone overlay, this shiny little squirrel was made in Japan in the 1970s, most likely for Leonard, a gift importer to the US. With a felt-protected base, she sits comfortably on any flat surface, but around here we think she's happiest in the kitchen on a shelf , in the cupboard, on the counter, or any spot that makes you smile. She's happy wherever you are happy.
A really sweet expression, a chubby little belly, and the fluffiest tail a baby squirrel can muster, this gal adds so much charm and whimsy to your space.
