{HISTORY}

The very first set of Pyrex mixing bowls debuted in the 1940s. It was a set of four nesting sizes that contained the primary colors yellow, red, green and blue. A popular and colorful kitchen set, these favorites kicked off production for decades of fun and colorful Pyrex mixing bowls in a variety of patterns and shades. 

In 1974, Pyrex released the Flamglo shade - a gorgeous ombre-style hue that faded from red to orange. Warm, inviting, and cozy (especially for the fall and winter months), Flamego was only produced for three years but it reached bestseller status. 

So pretty for farmhouse kitchens, midcentury moderns and any home cook that appreciates a bold aesthetic, this 4-quart size was the largest of the mixing bowls.  Whether you are whipping up Sunday morning pancakes, your favorite  Christmas cake,  or stuffing for the Thanksgiving turkey, this dependable helper will make things easy breezy (and beautiful) from start to finish.

{CONDITION}

In bright and shiny condition, this bowl contains no chips or cracks or fading due to time spent in the dishwasher. There are some very light scratch marks around the exterior of the bowl, as is common with vintage Pyrex but they are light and not noticeable from a distance. There's one spot (see photo) that is the most apparent of the scratches measuring 1" inch x .5" inches in size. Please see photos. The interior is clean and bright.

Measures 10.5" inches in diameter x 4.25" inches (height) and weighs just under 3lbs.
