Vintage Pink Rose Porcelain Teacups - Yoko Boeki Set of Four
The cup of tea on arrival at a country house is a thing which, as a rule, I particularly enjoy. I like the crackling logs, the shaded lights, the scent of buttered toast, the general atmosphere of leisured coziness. P.G. Wodehouse
Hailing from midcentury Japan, this set of four vintage teacups was made the porcelain studio, Nippon Yoki Boeki Co around the 1950s. Featuring beautiful farmhouse-style roses in shades of petal pink raspberry with beige and mint-colored leaves, these cups are full of cottage charm.
Makers of a variety of finely crafted porcelain pieces including figurines, serving pieces, and vases, Yoko Boeki produced exquisitely detailed home decor pieces showcasing pretty color arrangements. These teacups feature one of their signature design styles - ribbed body - which when held up to the light creates a lovely shadow pattern that looks like a glowing sun. That extra detail ensures a pretty cup of tea from start to finish!
