Vintage Pink Rose Platter circa Mid-20th Century
{HISTORY}
Oh a new little mystery arrives in the form of this pretty pink rose platter!
Similar to Universal's Moss Rose pattern, this one also features a stylish rose bouquet highlighted with a grey shadow effect behind it. Yet the leaves and the rose petals differ between the two patterns, so Moss Rose it is not.
This floral bouquet is very vibrant with its emerald green leaves, its ballet pink shades and its very plump blossoms. Although it is unmarked on back as to maker or manufacturer, if we had to guess, we'd estimate that it dates to the 1950s era and would definitely be a match for any dish in the Universal Pottery's Ballerina Decorator series.
As for modern-day food pairings, think about adorning this platter with all the best of summer's treats... a green goddess salad, pink frosted sugar cookies, chocolate cupcakes or cool slices of garden-grown watermelon. Just because this charmer is a little mysterious it doesn't mean she won't become the life of the party:)
