{HISTORY}

In production from 1957-1966, Pyrex's Gooseberry pattern was a pink kitchen lover's dream. Offered in alternating color combinations of pink on white and white on pink, the Gooseberry mixing bowls featured the beloved Cinderella shape - an ergonomically comfortable design perfect for pouring and holding at the same time.

Originally available in sets of four nested sizes, this is the smallest of the mixing bowl set -  the #441 1 1/2 PT size. It's ideal for whipping up smaller batches of things like scrambled eggs, sauces, homemade salad dressings and whipped cream. 

Designed by Phillip Johnson, the Gooseberry pattern contains swags of leaves, flowers and gooseberries that wrap almost entirely around the bowl. Ballet pink in hue, this pattern rests against Pyrex's opalware glass which is like a creamy milk-colored shade. A beauty of a combo, these nested mixing bowls came in a variety of patterns and were one of Pyrex's most beloved kitchen items. Even though the gooseberry pattern was retired in 1966, it has remained an attractive choice for home cooks throughout the past 70 years.
