{HISTORY}

Made by McCoy Pottery between the 1940s and the 1960s, this oblong green planter vase is just the ticket for table centerpieces, shelf display, and countertop arrangements. Sometimes referred to as canoe-shaped, this planter features lily pad-like scallops along the edge with scroll shapes on each end. Lending both a tropical feel and Asian botanical aesthetic, it's a sure fit for a wide variety of house plants, herbs, and floral bouquets.

Deep enough to hold flower stems fresh cut from the garden, a trio of 4-inch planter pots, or a half dozen mini succulents, creativity abounds with a vintage planter of this size and shape. Weighing in at 3 lbs, it features that lovely shade of green that McCoy has long been known for - darker than celadon, lighter than watermelon, deeper than jadeite, it's a shade that sits somewhere between spring green and lime rind, and looks gorgeous with a bevy of flower colors.

Formal enough to sit center stage on a mantel, but also artistic enough to incorporate a cheerful boho aesthetic, we love this one especially for its effortless arrangements and pretty presentation.  

Made during the Nelson McCoy Pottery years, this charmer combines clean lines and artistic flair that make it both a functional vase/planter and also an interesting art piece all in one. Lovely to think that it’s on its way to celebrating its 100th birthday in just twenty years, it's a classic statement piece ready for another 100 years of garden delights.

{CONDITION}

In beautiful vintage condition, this planter vase contains no chips, cracks, spots, or stains. One side is a bit lighter in color due to glazing with a drip styte mark near the rim.  Please see photos.
