Lofisa Vintage Floral Plate - Made in Guadalajara Mexico - Blue & Pink Roses
"Barriga llena, corazon contento" is a traditional Mexican saying meaning full stomach, happy heart.
A ceramics factory based in Guadalajara, Mexico, Lofisa was in business from 1875 to the early 1980's. Proud of Mexico's artistic heritage, they employed local artisans to create original designs, which helped introduce the rest of the world to Mexico's unique cultural landscape. This hard to find blue and pink floral plate was made by Lofisa in 1983 and features a bouquet of pink and blue roses. Now a hard-to-find pattern, it would look stunning with other mismatched plates that carry a similar blue, pink and green color palette, or as with many of the plates in the shop, it would look just as lovely hanging on the wall as it would sitting pretty on the table.
