Vintage Lace Edged Cotton Tablecloth Goldenrod Yellow 36x56
Life starts over again when it gets crisp in the fall. F. Scott Fitzgerald
{HISTORY}
This year, Autumn is edged in lace thanks to this pretty vintage tablecloth. Warm and sunny, the color could most closely be described as goldenrod (a shade between mustard and lemon curry powder). Made of medium-weight cotton, it features a delicate border lace similar in style to that which is found on lingerie.
We absolutely adore the contrast between this earthy, fall color and the feminine detailing of the lace that surrounds it. Sized at 36x56, it's ideal for outdoor dining under the falling leaves, for picnics in the park, and for indoor table settings that require an extra dose of sunshine during the winter months.
There are no hang tags to hint at the maker behind this cloth nor the year it was produced, but most likely it was made during the 1970s based on both the color and the lace detailing. That was an exciting decade for tablecloths, especially because home dinner parties were a popular way to enjoy good food and friends as well as more sophisticated dining adventures.
