Vintage Keller Charles Metal Tray - Tulip Bouquet Painting by Galley - Stephanie Hoppen Picture Archive
With fanciful names like Rembrandt, Mrs. Moon, Rosy Wings, Parrot and Good Gracious, tulips have been devotedly loved and prized for their dramatic beauty throughout centuries...
{HISTORY}
This beauty of a large metal serving tray was made for Keller Charles, a Philadelphia based giftware company. It was made in England with imagery reproduced by the Stephanie Hoppen Photo Archive, a London based retail company that specialized in art-centric home goods. Reminiscent of Florentine art, with its curved edges, gold detailing and dramatic old world imagery, this style of tray came in a variety of patterns mostly featuring fruit, flowers and vegetable still life paintings. Although both companies are no longer in business, these Keller Charles trays are highly collectible today and are mostly used for display on walls or cabinets. But they can also be used as functional serving trays too.

{CONDITION}
This was a beloved treasure by it's previous owner, so it is in shabby chic condition with authentic wear and tear caused by natural aging and use. Upon close inspection you can see surface scratches, scuff marks, a small splattering of rust marks in the gold section of the lower rim and a few streaks of a mysterious pink color near the flower pot. However, from a distance these flaws are barely noticeable thanks to the beauty of the overall composition. Please see photos for detailed condition issues.
