Georgian Town House -- A popular town house design found in many eastern cities towards the end of the 18th century... (from the backstamp)

{HISTORY}

Let the dreamy tablescapes begin! Blue and white dishware is always fun to mix and match in inspiring ways, but this plate in particular adds an extra dose of interest with its pastoral scene.  Complete with horses and carriages and a pretty Georgian townhouse it was made by Johnson Brothers in England in the late 1960s. Part of J.B.'s  Heritage Hall series, a variety of different style houses were featured on dishes that ranged in color from red to brown to blue, even multicolor.

 Made for distribution through Sears between 1969-1985, this vintage pattern brought a touch of England to the American kitchen. Made of ironstone with an embossed swirl, this series was elegant and timeless offering pieces in full sets for a complete collection.

So pretty these days for pairing with antique ironstone, vintage blue and white dishware and modern-day whiteware, this plate adds a bit of style to your table while also moonlighting as beautiful wall decor.
