Vintage Gold Rimmed Creamer - Fluted Shape - U.S.A. Backstamp
If you like a little mystery with your cream and sugar then this one is for you!
This classic creamer is a beauty in the appearance department but a mystery in the affiliation department. Stamped on the bottom with just U.S.A. this little darling was most likely made in the U.S. for the export market overseas. It's handle is art deco-ish in style but its gold rim and gold stripe down the handle is more mid-century. Most likely it was made in California. In addition to its fluted shape gold design touches it also bears lots of delicate crazing and tea-colored staining suggesting that it has been around for a good long number of decades.

In addition to making coffee and tea time more fancy, vintage creamers also make great planters for succulents or mini storage containers for kitchen odds and ends. Here in the Vintage Kitchen we also like to use them on our hor d'ouevres platters too for things like sauces and olives, dips and dried fruit, nuts and cheese straws, so many things really ... you get the idea!
