Vintage Embroidered Floral Table Scarf - Colorful Handstitched Kitchen Cloth 37x11 - Needs Repair
Every designer needs a story. Naeem Khan
Like a painting that was set aside uncompleted, or a novel left unfinished, this vintage embroidered table scarf offers a partially blank canvas for sewers who like to pick up where others left off. Bridging the past with the present by featuring the handiwork of two skilled sewers, it is a multiple artist project that will forever encapsulate the spirit and the skill of two sewers The first sewer was the one who originally created this charming basket design with its crocheted edge and beautiful array of colors. The second sewer is you, who will be finishing up some bare spots in one section of the piece that have come undone over the course of time.
With restoration work needed on one basket and the surrounding scattered blue flowers, it is not a project that will require a lot of time nor a great amount of skill since it is basically just filling in some gaps. That makes this a fun project for the beginning embroiderer, the embroidery teacher or anyone who just wants to curl up with a small sewing project on a cozy winter day. Once it is completed, you will have made your mark on a piece of history and added a new story to this cloth's already adventurous life.
