{HISTORY}

Beautifully embroidered by hand in an array of lively colors, this vintage cloth was most likely made to add a little style to game tables, when the ladies would come over to play bridge or canasta or the family gathered around a favorite board game.  It's square size 34.5" inches x 36" inches makes it quite an ideal size for other alternative uses as well. One of our most favorites ways to incorporate vintage cloths like this in our modern-day lives is to put it to use as a picnic blanket. But the fun doesn't stop there either. So colorful and fun for holiday decorating at the kid's table or as a new recruit for your tea party decor, it also offers many possibilities for the crafty sewer (think cafe curtains, pillow coverings, kitchen linens, etc). 

Meticulously executed, each stitch was carefully placed, with flowers at each corner connected by a dark grey border. The edge of the cloth is embroidered all the way around in a coral color thread.  Each of the flowers offers several colors within each petal to suggest shading and visual interest. And the cotton cloth, similar to vintage cotton dishtowels, is in gorgeous shape - soft yet sturdy.

{CONDITION}

In gorgeous vintage condition. No spots or stains. No pulled threads or holes. There is some very very light color bleeding/fading on two of the flowers which give the interior of those petals a very, very light salmon hue to them. But it is so light these color differences are hardly noticeable.
