Vintage Daher Tin - Red and White Cherry Blossoms
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. Norman MacEwen
{HISTORY}
A pretty vintage tin knows no boundaries! Made in England in the 1980s for Daher, a US-based gift packaging company headquartered in Long Island, New York, this vintage tin with its bright red and white cherry blossom pattern and knob lid was mostly likely used to package tea, biscuits, cookies and other perishables. Anything presented in a Daher tin was really two gifts in one thanks to their attractive containers. Once the contents were enjoyed, the tins were repurposed for a host of household uses when it came to storage and organizational projects.Could you wholeheartedly say that life with a Daher tin or two was just a little bit easier? Absolutely! It was also a little bit prettier too:)
There are just about a zillion ways to incorporate this petite caddy into your space, but around here we especially like it as a pantry organizer or a kitchen countertop storage helper for everyday necessities.

{CONDITION}
In lovely vintage condition. The exterior is very colorful and shiny. There are two small rust spots on the lid near the rim, a very light ivory-colored stain on one part of the body near the base that is the size of a nickel, and a small dent in the knob on the lid. The interior of the canister and lid are clean but do contain some scratches (mostly on the lid) and there are two small interior rust patches on the inside wall of the canister. The lid fits snug and tight. Please see photos.
