Vintage Cross Stitch Bird Embroidery Panels - Robins & Flowers - Two Available
When the red, red robin comes bob, bob, bobbin' along, there'll be no more sobbin' when he starts throbbin' his old sweet song... wake up, wake up you sleepy head, get up get outta bed, cheer up, cheer up the sun is red... live, love, laugh and be happy... Al Jolson
Two of a pair, that's what these four robins are! Hand-sewn in cross-stitch fashion, these long vintage embroidered panel pieces are awaiting your next dose of inspiration. Each panel contains a pair of robins (one at top, one at bottom) with red, blue, and yellow flowers tucked between and a trail of green vines and leaves.
The color palette is spring-like in theme and shade but also just right and bright for autumn and summer too. That's why we think these two pieces are great candidates for inclusion in a homemade table runner, or bookends on a cafe curtain, or design details on window seat cushions or pillows for your dining nook.
Like all vintage embroidery pieces, it is fun to imagine the sewer who stitched these threads into the beautiful landscape that it is, and what possibly her intentions were for their finished fate. The skies the limit with these two, which is why they are being sold separately - maybe you just need one set of birds to finish your project, or maybe both would inspire a new one you are about to begin. Either way, whatever you create is destined to be delightful.
