Handmade with colorful vintage fabric that includes an array of fruits including cherries, pears, plums, strawberries and grapes it also features a scalloped ricrac edge and a simple button closure which secures a foldover flap.
Most likely this fabric was repurposed from a tablecloth manufactured around the 1950s - an era when blue and white fruit pattern designs were all the rage in the kitchen!
