Large Vintage Copper Fish Mold - Benjamin & Medwin circa 1980s
WHEN YOU FISH FOR LOVE, BAIT WITH YOUR HEART, NOT YOUR BRAIN. MARK TWAIN
{HISTORY}
Mark Twain wasn't talking about decorating your kitchen when he said these wise words but his thoughts certainly are appropriate when it comes to filling your kitchen with love in all forms. Not just with the food you eat, but also the items that decorate the walls or the equipment that assists you, your kitchen should be one giant love letter to all that inspires you. This vintage copper fish mold is a good example of M.T.'s philosophy. Select it because you love it and you'll discover it has multiple charms - functional for cooking projects but also fun for decorative wall art purposes too.
This big fish swam its way into the shop straight from 1980s New York City. It was part of a school of fish offered by Benjamin & Medwin, importers of culinary tools for city cooks. Heavy, deep and thick-walled, this fish was no flimsy worker. It was up to a variety of tasks including jello, pudding, pates, aspics, cakes and cheese dips.
