Vintage Burwood Wall Plaque - Bird in the Grapevines No. 0251-3 - 1970s Home Decor, Bar Accents, Kitchen Art, Gold Metallic
We are all mortal until the first kiss and the second glass of wine. Eduardo Galeano
Oozing with 1970's glamour, this bird in the grapevines wall plaque might be just your art to hang above the bar cart or adorn your dining room walls. Once part of a series of diamond-shaped vignettes made by the Burwood Products Company based in Michigan, these plastic and wood composite plaques had multiple options as far as mix and match display.
Somewhere within the past 45 years, our bird got separated from its companions, but that doesn't matter because she is just lovely on her own. Reminiscent of a wine label or a fabric pattern, her classic style, detailed imagery and brushed gold paint lend itself to be a natural transition piece between kitchen walls and eating areas or for decoration near your bar.
Burwood Products Company went out of business in the 1990s but their wall plaques still remain highly collectible today for both their detailed craftmanship and whimsical imagery.
