Vintage Ball Quilted Crystal Jam Jars with Snap on Lids circa 1960s - Set of Three
Good taste. You come by it Nature's way with Ball... (from a 1974 ad campaign)
{HISTORY}
In the mid-20th century, your jam and jelly jars looked this! With textured glass, known as quilted crystal, and snap-on metal lids with colorful fruit illustrations, these petite worker bees of the kitchen were useful for so many things when it came to food and storage.
That was the Ball way after all. Since the 1920s, these tin-topped jelly tumblers were a beloved storage accessory in the kitchen. Non-threaded glass versions like this trio even became repurposed drinking glasses once all the jam and jelly was consumed. Today, these jars add a lovely vintage touch to home organization projects, helping to keep your space clean and tidy.
The now harder-to-find metal lids of this batch securely fit the top of each jar with a simple press of the fingers. Since the jars are not threaded, the lids do not screw onto the glass like other canning jars, but instead, hug the rim for a secure fit.
Easily stackable and lightweight, these quilted crystal glasses make great camping and picnic accessories too. There is really no end to their functionality. We guarantee you'll find a million uses for this trio too!
