Vintage 1970s Wilton Rooster Cake Pan circa 1972
Every farmhouse kitchen needs a noble rooster to delight the day.
This one comes in aluminum cake pan form and was made in 1972 by Wilton, America's beloved cake decorating company. First founded in the 1920s, the Wilton School of Cake Decorating began in Chicago with a mission to teach pastry chefs and home bakers the beautiful art of confectionary design.
The school was an immediate success, churning out talented cake decorators from around the world. The Wilton family also sold tools, forms, fabrics, and embellishments for unique cake designs which helped expand their brand and promote their commitment to building aesthetically pleasing cakes. Bakery books, how-to manuals, and decorating diy guides soon followed, The more the Wilton family offered, the more home bakers wanted. Still in business today, it remains a trusted brand for high-quality baking utensils, fun designs, and insightful tutorials.
Whether you are surprising the chicken lover in your life with a special cake, have a country-themed party coming up or if you simply want to add a little Parisian flair to your kitchen decor (roosters are always welcome in France!) this pretty bird is just the right amount of classic symbolism and functional design.
