Putting the C in celebration since the 1960s, this tall vintage wine cooler champagne bucket was made by Webster-Wilcox in Meriden CT in the 1960s.

A founding member of International Silver in the late 1890s, Webster-Wilcox's history goes all the way back to the 1860s when they were first founded as the Wilcox Britannia Co. Always based in New England, in the famed silver manufacturing state of Connecticut, Wilcox changed names many times throughout the 20th century, but by the 1960s when this silverplate bucket was made, it was known as Webster-Wilcox.

Tall, heavy, and delightfully tarnished, nothing adds more elegance to an event than an urn-style bucket. Intended to chill wine, champagne, and other long-necked beverages, this bucket also moonlights as a decorative art piece, a flower vase, and a planter. During the holiday season, it looks especially marvelous stuffed full of balsam boughs and pine cones, fruit displays, and topiaries. 

Featuring a Rocococo style design with lush swirls, flowers, and grape leaves, this festive holder offers lovely height to a buffet table display, brings a help-your-self-service style to the party and a shiny aesthetic that catches the glimmer of candlelight beautifully.

{CONDITION}

In beautiful vintage condition. This bucket contains no cracks, dents, or scratches. There is some sort of serial number scratched into the bottom of the bucket above the maker's mark. This could have been some sort of manufacturing mark or inventory mark. Please photos.
