{HISTORY}

Start with a big bowl of breakfast and you ensure a good start to the day. That's what American nutritionist Adelle Davis advised back in the 1960s. This pair of vintage Taylor Smith Taylor Bachelor Button cereal bowls will help add a splash of style alongside your milk and yogurt, granola and oatmeal, grits and grapefruit. 

Made for Taylor Smith Taylor's Versatile line which was launched in the 1950s, these bowls feature a smooth shape and rimless edges for a more modern, sleek look. Accented with teal, pink and grey floral bouquets, this Bachelor Button pattern debuted in the 1960s and was offered in full sets of matching dishes up to 93 pieces.

While technically described as cereal bowls, these two - thanks to their wide diameter and shallow coupe-style bowl, arent just limited to the breakfast table. They make a great serving choice for all sorts of foods and all sorts of mealtimes including soups and stews, rice bowls, pasta, ice cream, saucy entrees, snack dishes, salads... you get the idea.

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition! The floral imagery is bright, crisp and clear. Neither bowl contains spots or stains. The silver rim around the edge of each bowl bears rub marks.  There is the tiniest chip (about 1/16th of an inch) located on the rim of one bowl and there is some light crazing on the bottom underside of the other bowl.
