{HISTORY}

Written entirely in Norwegian, this rare vintage children's book, Kadett og Elias og Vennene Deres (which translates to Cadet & Elias & Their Friends) was written in 1968 by Aja and Alf Fjeldberg, revolves around a series of true animal stories that the authors themselves experienced. 

Featured here are a central cast of animal characters... the geese Elias and Captain Krook, the dogs Kadett, Binna and Irk, the squirrel Kirre, the cat Katinka, Olson the turtle and handsome Ferdinand the bull among others. All these creatures have been a part of Aja and Alf's life and therefore, they learned their curious quirks and understood their joyful interactions while observing them on a daily basiis.  Accompanied by sweet black-and-white photographs and illustrations of the animals, this book is also signed by the authors.

Offering a unique glimpse into Norwegian country life during the mid-20th century, Kadett & Elias & Their Friends is fun for Norwegian-American readers, collectors of animal stories and anyone interested in studying the Norwegian language. {CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition. There is slight scuffing on the back cover. The title page where Aja and Alf have written an inscription has started to come apart at the binding but is still intact in the book. The photographs have a lot of personality and are quite crisp and clear.
