Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of a candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared. Buddha
{HISTORY}
Candle glow. What a perfect name for a casserole dish pattern! Meant to warm the belly and the spirit, this vintage casserole dish was made by Anchor Hocking for their dependable and beloved Fire King line. The Candle-Glow pattern was available from 1967-1972 and featured a sparkly starburst pattern in the warm shades of teal and marigold. This 1 1/2 quart size with its long rectangular shape, is ideal for small families, petite spaces, and small to medium size baking projects.
Deemed the "over-built ovenware," Anchor Hoking's Fire King line was built to last. They were so confident in its ability, A.H. even offered money-back guarantees or replacements should a dish meet its ultimate demise even after years of use. Easy, effortless and helpful in the kitchen, the only thing Fire King wasn't really great at was tolerating life in the dishwasher as it clouded the patina and eventually rubbed off the imagery. So when you find a vintage piece of Fire King in such great shiny shape, like this one is, it's exciting! Having spent its entire lifetime hand-washed and hand-dried, this casserole dish was beautifully kept and is in gorgeous shape - ready for another 50 years of baking and casserole making!
