{HISTORY}

Just lovely in sentiment and execution, this vintage embroidery piece dates to the 1960s but features a portion of a poem written by John Keats in 1818. The poem was titled The Human Seasons (we've included the full poem in the photos here) and reflects on the changing way we look at life as we age. 

Beautifully detailed, the imagery that unites this embroidery is trees - as they flower in spring, leaf out in summer, change color in autumn and go bare in winter. Each season also marks activities - bicycle riding, sailing, harvesting and ice skating. 

Colorful and skillfully stitched, there's a shade to match every interior palette. Ice pink, turquoise, tangerine, pumpkin, celadon, black, magenta, grey, sage, red, brick, chocolate, and marigold complete the rainbow of hues all stitched on ivory-colored linen.
