Homemaker sets were designed for young marrieds, second homeowners, and anyone desiring a second set of dishware for everyday use. Casual, carefree, and containing popular colors of the era, these homemaker sets contained all the pieces necessary (cups, plates bowls, etc) for a serving of eight. Offered at affordable prices they were ideal starters sets for newlyweds, for people who liked to entertain a lot, or for anyone outfitting a vacation home.
Versatile launched at Taylor Smith Taylor in the 1950s too. It featured smooth shapes and rimless edges for a more modern, sleeker look, unlike anything TST had produced before. Bearing many different patterns within this style, the Versatile series was available through the 1960s.
