Vintage 1950's Pink Plaid Creamer & Sugar Bowl Set - Pink N' Charcoal by Stetson
{HISTORY}
Made in the 1950s by Stetson China Company in Lincoln, IL, this creamer and sugar bowl set features the handpainted Pink N' Charcoal pattern consisting of bold stripes in blush and grey shades.
A lovely break from more traditional finely detailed floral patterns, the simple, yet stylish design of this set is both youthful and relaxed... perfect for summer garden parties, picnics at the beach or your mod cooking space. We especially love the little ceramic swirl of a nob on the sugar bowl - a retro design choice that adds a bit of whimsical movement to the whole aesthetic.
Stetson produced dishware from the late 1910s through the mid-1960s, working with Chicago distributor, Marcrest, who placed Stetson's dishware in grocery stores, department stores and specialty shops. Oftentimes you could see dishes like this listed in weekly shopping circulars, all toting the handpainted style and artistic touch of this unique design.
Here in the Vintage Kitchen, we love them for their mod appeal, optimistic energy and bold pattern. A delight for bohemian spirits, these two make tea and coffee time a lovely and lively event.
