Vintage Universal Ballerina Moss Rose Creamer circa 1950s
We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once. Nietzsche
Is there anything cuter than a creamer? The petite characters of the kitchen, vintage creamers capture all the delights in charm and design and functionality. This vintage 1950s-era one is from the Moss Rose pattern made by Universal Pottery.
Part of their Ballerina line, this graceful, elegant style of dishware came in a variety of designer solids and florals so that buyers could mix and match pieces between the two with ease and confidence.
Made in Cambridge, Ohio the Ballerinas were a beautiful addition to the kitchen, offering fade-proof designs thanks to their permacal glazing. The Moss Rose pattern was made up of pink and green shades with an interesting grey back shadow effect and came in two different types of design - one with a silver rim and the other without. This creamer is part of the non-silver set.
- Colors include ballet pink, evergreen, salmon, raspberry, spring green and pale grey
- Unmarked on bottom
In marvelous vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. The floral design is bright and crisp. Please see photo.
