{HISTORY}

First debuting in 1937, Homer Laughlin's Kitchen Kraft line was designed around beauty, efficiency, and durability when it came to daily cooking. Available in mixing bowls, covered casserole dishes, jugs, teapots, pie servers, and cake plates, they were modeled after the popular Oven Ware series of the 1920s which allowed home cooks to take food directly from the fridge to the oven to the table. Stylish and colorful, Kitchen Kraft offered a bit more of the modern with sleeker shapes and design details that were popular during the Art Deco era. 

Kitchen Kraft came in a variety of beautiful patterns and shapes. This 8" inch mixing bowl would have initially come in a nested set of three graduated bowls with this one being the middle size. It features the Armand pattern complete with trailing roses, white daisies and yellow flowers against a pale ivory background. Hard to find today, this bowl was made in the 1940s and came in both an embossed version (known as Armand Virginia Rose) and a plain version like this one simply known as Armand.

Just imagine how many recipes this pretty helper has whipped up throughout her almost-100 year lifetime. Still fully functional for a bowl of such cooking bliss, she also serves as a lovely decorative piece for the kitchen, a colorful fruit bowl on the counter, or an organizer in the fridge or pantry.

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition, this bowl contains no chips or cracks. The platinum stripe around the rim is in bright and shiny shape. The floral transferware is crisp and clear. The interior contains two small spots at the bottom of the bowl. Please see photos.

Measures 8.25" inches (diameter) x 4.55" inches (height) and weighs just a smidge under 2 lbs.
