{HISTORY}
If you were a kiddo in the 1940s you could spend hours of the day homesteading in your own colorful world of imagination thanks to this vintage wooden toy set. Originally part of a farm complete with animals and a farmer to tend them, this country abode with its pretty copse of trees was part of the Fairylite toy brand.
Fairylite was the tradename of the Graham Bros of London - exclusive purveyors of novelty toys for British children that began in 1887 and was in business until the 1970s.
This homestead, made of lightweight wooden blocks, was handpainted and contains grooved etchings in the wood for added depth and dimension. The interlocking house gives it a standalone puzzle piece type effect and the ability to move the trees around in quite a surprising number of different ways in relation to the house adds quite a bit of fun and whimsy (not to mention dimension) to this cute little farmhouse.
Now a rare find among the Fairlite canon of toys, this wooden farmhouse scene is a wonderful piece of vintage nostalgia that adds character and personality to your space. We could spend the whole entire day dreaming about what the kitchen looks like inside!
