Vintage 1930s Meito China Floral Porcelain Teacups & Saucers - Set of Four
{HISTORY}
There's a reason why Meito and Noritake dishware are always grouped together and often mistaken for one another at first glance. That's because the founder of Meito China, Kotaro Asuki, was a previous employee of Noritake and assumed many of the techniques and artistic proclivities with which he had become familiar during his time at Noritake.
Made in the 1930s, this set of vintage porcelain cups and saucers features all the hallmarks of beautifully patterned dishware that made Meito China synonymous with gorgeous design. Featuring a pale Tiffany blue stripe, gold handles, hand-painted floral swags, mustard-shaded dots, and lacy grey stripes, this set of fourl is enhanced with the two-tone color palette of pale yellow and bright white that was very popular during the 1930s.
A pastel wonderland of vibrant and softly shaded hues, elegant and dainty, these just might be the prettiest teacups taht have come to the shop so far. Charmers for teatime, coffee breaks, or other beverages of choice, this set looks great at all times of day. From morning til night, whatever the occasion calls for, they bring an extra dose of timeless beauty to tables and trays.
