{HISTORY}
And, as promised, in cardboard form King Edward carries on! Named after King Edward VII of England, the famous American cigar company King Edward the Seventh, has been enchanting smoking enthusiasts for over 100 years. What started in 1918 as a humble handmade cigar company quickly bloomed into a giant enterprise with the helpful aid of machines in the 1920s. By the 1940s, King Edward became known as the bestselling cigar brand in the world. Based in Jacksonville, FL, the company now makes over 7 million cigars a day supplying tobacco shops and consumers with the same quality that King Edward has been known for since the very beginning.
This vintage King Edward cardboard retail box dates to the 1930s/1940s era. That was when a cigar cost $0.07 and they came shipped to retailers in boxes like this in packs of 50.
