Vinatge 1950s Half-Apron Novelty Print Birhday Cakes
Desserts made at home and decorated at home, presented with a becoming combination of modesty and pride, are a demonstration of the pleasure you take in preparing food that is lovely to look at and delightful to eat, that is a compliment to family and guests. Doris McFerran Townsend, 1976
Let the baking begin! This vintage 1950s/1960s era half apron has the most festive party pattern. Containing all the joy and cheer of a happy birthday celebration, this cotton kitchen worker was sturdy enough for busy baking in the kitchen but also pretty enough to be present at the party too.
Featuring the lively colors of lemon and emerald with highlights of chocolate brown to anchor the scene, this apron is made of novelty fabric featuring an assortment of bakery delights. Birthday cakes mingle with sugared fruits of three tiers and chocolate confectionaries. Bouquets of roses, pitchers of green, and yellow flower-shaped linen mats complete the tabletop scene.
Apron details include a double-lined side pocket and extra long apron strings.
