Two Vintage Germany Roman V Bread and Butter Plates - Bavaria Rose Pattern - Made in Germany
Anyone who holds onto the ability to see beauty never grows old. Franz Kafka
Made sometime between the 1940s and the 1970s, this vintage set of bread and butter snack plates was made in Germany by the pottery, Roman V. Originally part of a bigger set that included a large cake style platter, these plates, somewhere along the way, were separated from the set, leaving them to travel continents and time periods together as a pretty pair.
Part of the Bavaria Rose pattern, they are the epitome of country cottage charm with their pink and peach florals, pastel foliage and delicate but sturdy porcelain constitution. Ideal candidates for both mix and match collections as well as food photography props, there are not many foods that wouldn't look delightful paired with them thanks to their colorful but neutral palette.
- Colors include pink, peach, lavender, blue, sage, grey, salmon, mauve, white
- Matching set of two
- Stamped on back with makers mark
Contains no chips or cracks. Gold around rims are worn and faded.
Each plate measures 6" inches in diameter
Pair these beauties with a mix match of big florals like this one for unexpected tableware displays that are bold and bright.
