Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot, others transform a yellow spot into the sun. Pablo Picasso
{HISTORY}
Hailing from McKeesport, PA this platter was decorated with a yellow rose pattern by Sabin Industries sometime between 1946 and 1979. Purchasers of china blanks from various local potteries, Sabine Industries was solely in the business of decorating china before it headed out to the retail market. This platter features their cheerful yellow Cathy Rose pattern featuring a bouquet of yellow roses combined with miniature light grey flowers. It's stylish, scalloped edging and an embossed floral rim makes it unique among the Sabin line of dinnerware, which usually features plain undecorated rims and smooth edges.
