{HISTORY}

The first where-did-you-come-from mystery winner of 2018 belongs to this set of vintage brass candle holders. They have a definite Danish Modern style to them and a midcentury feel, but because they are unmarked as to a date or maker, we can't definitely tell who or when stories.

So instead, we'll talk about the aesthetic of these little marvels. Every time we look at them, here in the Vintage Kitchen, they remind us of the ocean and the rolling waves. If we were decorating a beach house, these two would sit tabletop, preferably near a window, so that they could mimic the view of real ocean waves coming in and out. Made of solid brass, their capitals unscrew so they offer a second decorating option (maybe for a fun greenery display?!) if you wanted to embrace your creativity and use them for something other than candle light. 

They haven't been polished in a good long while and bear little markings of life and adventure all which adds up to a gorgeous tarnished patina that is purely authentic for a life lived long.

{CONDITION}

One of the candle holders is slightly darker in color. Each contains some spotting and minor nick marks due to age. Please see photos.

Each candleholder measures 10.5" inches (length) x 1.75" inches (width) x 3.5" inches (height).

Due to their size and shape, these candle holders make ideal dining table companions alongside low floral arrangements.
