{HISTORY}
Cheers! It's cocktail time!
Large in scale and dynamic in perspective, this 24" x 38" painting features a handsome still life of vintage French wine bottles, glasses and corks. The color palette, consisting of muted shades of grey, green, almond, crimson, honey, black, gold, white, cream and coral makes it appealing for a wide variety of interiors and color palettes, but we especially love this piece of art for midcentury modern aesthetics, and walls painted in rich, dark, moody colors.
An original painting that has been signed by the artist, we suspect that this piece of art may have come from a painting studio where individual artists were on staff to complete pieces of work in a similar theme and style. Although we have yet to run across an exact match of this painting or other examples of this artist's work, there are similiar works signed by different artists that follow an almost exact likeness in the wood grain, the off-center composition and the bottles and stemware subject matter.
The bottles themselves mirror labels from Chateau Latour, a winery in the Bordeaux region of France that dates back to the 1300s. One of the corks highlights the winery Dow's - a Portuguese vineyard dating to the 1920s that is well-known for its port wines. So while the painting is undated and most likely more contemporary in execution, there is a delightful nod towards 20th-century wine-making history.
Fun for the wine lover, the art lover, the francophile, and the interior decorator in your life, this big painting makes a big, bold statement taht will compliment a variety of areas around your home including the kitchen, dining room, and bar cart.

{CONDITION}
In beautiful vintage condition. There are no rips, holes or tears in the painting. Please note this piece of art was stretched and stapled over a wood frame after it was painted. The top left corner doesn't completely match up with the corner edge so a small bit of white shows. This small flaw can easily be fixed by restapling the canvas to the frame, otherwise, if you chose to add a frame on top of this painting for display, the new frame would cover this area completely.
