Full of character and sculptural style, you'd be hard-pressed to spot these two bunnies from across the room and not think they were made out of plaster or concrete. Beautifully detailed and realistically shaped, these two papier mache rabbits are quite the eye-catching pair.

Made by Palecek, a decorative arts and design studio in Atlanta, GA that was founded in 1974, these rabbits were handcrafted for the hospitality and interior design industries.  That's a pretty exciting start for a pair of bunnies, as these two were destined for a person and a place who appreciated their artistic character, natural aesthetic, and beautiful form.

Large in size but light in weight, these two are gorgeous candidates for use as table decor and shelf display. Their natural color palette of light beige and subtle white milk paint details highlight the contours of ears, body shape, face and fur. Changing throughout the day as the light changes in a room by casting shades across their form and features at different angles, these two have lots of personality and lively spirit. Each one is handmade and therefore unique in detail. 

Rabbits offer wonderful year-round decorating inspiration. Not just for springtime or Easter, thanks to their neutral color palette and nature-inspired vibe, these two look right at home next to a pair of pumpkins and a pot of mums just as much as they do between a bouquet of blooms and painted Easter eggs in spring.

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition, these two rabbits are free of spots, stains, tears and rips. As happens with many a vintage rabbit statue or figurine, their long pointy ears are their most vulnerable areas. These two have a little bit of wear to the very tips of their ears, buta re still firmly attached and in no danger of falling off.  They are just a touch more fragile than the rest of the rabbit.
