Time spent with cats is never wasted. Sigmund Freud

{HISTORY}

Everybody knows that kitties LOVE jumping on the counter. Like a siren song, this clutter-free expanse of skytop real estate calls to them at all hours of the day. Beckoning. Luring. Suggesting. Incessantly. Here kitty, here kitty kitty.

Who really could resist this urge to investigate? Clearly not the kittens, that's for sure! They just can't. They really truly can't. Even if they know their pet parent/roommates don't share their exuberance for their long-haul jumps or the magical way they land without making a noise or disturbing a dish. No no. Their pet parents/roommates don't really fully appreciate much of this activity that happens counter top wise, especially the way they can stretch out for miles, for hours with their long legs and their long tails and their long whiskers like they are the King of Siam or the Queen of Sheba or any other type of royal presence come to visit the kitchen.

This little kitty is no different in all that naughty notoriety. But unlike her real-life counterparts, this little feline promises to stay put and not knock over glasses or step in the sink or drink water from the dishpan. This little kitty will be perfectly content with the amount of space you give her. Whether that's lingering on the lip of the stove or crouching beside the coffee cups or peering out from your potted plants. This kitty will find the joy in the space you deem - don't you worry about that.

Mind you - she'll give you a look like she might be a little putout - but really she'll love the whole entire world you have created for her. Don't be fooled by her nonchalant oh-did-I-do-something-wrong expression. She's quite ready to wrap you up in her wonderous world of whimsy. The one that you'll create and she'll appreciate. Because she's kitty. On the counter. And the two really do go hand-in-hand. Clearly.
