King Edward the Seventh Invincible Cigar Box - 1920s Extra Large Storage Container - Original Paper Labels
No matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there is something stronger, something better, pushing right back. Albert Camus
{HISTORY}
This vintage 1920's cigar box really has two histories. Its first history tells the story of King Edward Cigars, part of the Swisher International Group that first began in Ohio in the mid-1800's. The cigar manufacturing facilities were located in Florida, where batch after batch was produced, eventually leading King Edward to become king of the business in 1940. That's when they were deemed the bestselling cigars in the world, making the brand truly invincible.
The second history of the cigar box is your history and what you plan to do with it. The word invincible is pretty important and this box, due to its large size, has the ability to hold onto a lot of pieces of your life. It can organize your kitchen flatware or the linens on your cocktail cart, it can store small odds and ends contained in the pantry, candles in your sideboard or flatware in your kitchen drawers.
It can also hold on to your family recipes. Those ones passed down through generations that got you excited about cooking in the first place and made you feel like an invincible force in the kitchen once you conquered them. Your hopes and dreams - little notes...slips of paper... ideas... thoughts still percolating in your mind fit perfectly in here - safe and sound - guarded over by King Edward and his invincible strength - which is really your invincible strength. With almost 100 years of storage experience, you can rest assured your prized possessions are in a good place.
