House of Webster Floral Canister - Vintage 1970s Briar Rose Kitchen Storage - Jelly Jar/Sugar Bin
Briar roses are most prized for the relaxed flower petal, sweet scent and ability to create a wild and rambling natural privacy screen or garden fence. This vintage canister is most prized for its beauty and ability too. The kitchen never looked prettier!
This House of Webster kitchen canister, in the Briar Rose pattern, originally started out in 1970's Arkansas as a gift canister for a gourmet food company that has been in business since the 1930's. Lots of speculation ensues as to its original use, it may have held jellies, jams or baking staples like sugar or tea or even biscuits. Now it can hold a bevy of things from those previously stated items to organizational things like wooden spoons and cooking utensils, loose pantry items, cookies, coffee, etc.
- Bright white ceramic with pink, grey and green shades, gold rim and embossed details.
- Removeable lid
- Multi-purpose functionality
- House of Webster backstamp fairy faintly marked on bottom.
In shabby chic condition, this canister features a few small chippy spots in rim and on the base, neither of which affect the function or beauty of this piece. Contains no cracks or crazing. In bright and very clean condition with crisp, colorful flower designs that differ slightly on each side.
