Cast Iron White Westie Dog Bookend
{HISTORY}
Winsome in every way that a sweet little Westie dog can be, this cast iron bookend captures all the charm of aged, antique cast iron yet is made with modern materials. Although unmarked, this worker of the shelf and cupboard was mostly likely made by HomArt, an artisan home decor retailer founded in 1974 In California.
Hefty (weighing in at 2.8 lbs) in size, this pup is up to the task of keeping your cookbook collection tidy while also acting as a joyful piece of home decor. Originally, there were two dogs in this set - a matching pair - offering double the fun of course, but somewhere along the way, this pup lost her pal and has been adventuring solo ever since.
Two dogs aren't always better than one. in this case particularly, as this gal offers all sorts of excitement on her own when it comes to decorating.
The thing we love best about this bookend is the pup's expressive stance. Expressing a level of interest and anticipation in what is going on around her, this pup's personality is nothing short of joyful curiosity. On the lookout for the next great meal you'll be whipping up or the next great guest about to walk through the kitchen door, she seems to be excited about every and any event that could possibly occur in that magical room of the house called the kitchen. Winsome indeed.
You can call her Winnie for short if you like.
