The best known book in a series of eight books about a rambunctious little badger named Frances, Bread and Jam for Frances has been a beloved children's book since it was first published in 1964. A creative collaboration between husband and wife writer/illustrator team, Russell and Lillian Hoban, Frances charmed adults and kids with her picky eating habits and passionate temperament. Based on the antics of the Hoban's own children, Frances became a universally loved character in the children's book industry of the 20th century.
This paperback edition published in 1964, the same year the hardcover version debuted, was published by Scholastic Inc.
