{HISTORY}
Betty Crocker's cooking instruction first began in the 1920's in the form of a radio show called The Betty Crocker Cooking School of the Air. Soon after, cooking pamphlets started to appear featuring dinner recipes and baking secrets during the 1930s and 40's before the first big, hardbound cookbook was published in 1950. That was Betty Crocker's Picture Cookbook and it was a game-changer. An instant success, it took the kitchen world by storm and quickly became a trusted classic cookbook beloved the world over. This 1972 edition is the 3rd revision of that original 1950 cookbook and contains over 1600 recipes as well as detailed drawings, photographs, charts, menus and general kitchen household advice and styling suggestions. Ideal for new cooks just learning their way around the kitchen or experienced chefs looking for some old-time inspiration Betty offers up a recipe for every type of cook and eater.
