Antique Water Pitcher by Royal China International circa late 1800s
Made by Royal China International, this antique water pitcher features embossed flowers (trumpets or lilies perhaps) and a decorative scroll on the handle. Sleek and smooth, this design was not limited to Royal China Company, which means you'll find that other potteries also stamped their own marks on the same style pitcher. The popularity of such a design yielded competition between potteries, and once a certain style became highly sought after, other pottery producers took note and added the design to their own catalog of offerings.
Rightly so, we can see why this one was so appealing. Classic and clean in shape, it has just enough adornment to make it interesting while remaining simple enough to coordinate with many different interiors.
Gorgeous for use in combination with a wash basin, as a water pitcher for your party table or for use as a vase for your strongest, tallest flower stems and stalks, this pitcher adds nothing but beauty and purpose to everyday living.
- Large size
- All white aesthetic
- Embossed florals
- Stamped on bottom with maker's mark
In gorgeous antique condition. Very clean on the inside and out. There are no cracks or staining but there is one small hairline scratch on the outside near the bottom part of the handle that measures 2.25" inches in length. This is just a surface scratch and does not bleed through to the interior. Very light crazing gives this beauty an authentic aesthetic steeped in over one hundred years of history.
Measures 11.5" inches (height) x 10" inches (width) and weighs 5lbs.
